Our Story

Once upon a time, or more precisely, in 2013 - Agata and Mark met at a bar in Bournemouth called 60 Million Postcards, while both studying at Bournemouth University. Some might call it fate, others might call it good timing (and a little bit of charm).

Mark wasted no time impressing Agata, with his cooking skills, being tall and handsome, and by whisking her away on a romantic trip to Durdle Door, all of this with a soundtrack by RHCP, Arctic Monkeys and Queens of the Stone Age.

They survived the chaos of university life, then a year of a long-distance relationship while Mark returned to Wiltshire for work. But by the end of 2015, they had closed the distance for good and moved in together.

In the years that followed, Agata introduced Mark to the joys of horse riding, Elvis Presley’s greatest hits, and the delicious world of Polish cuisine. Mark, in return, brought Agata into the thrilling world of Formula 1 weekends and shared with her the finest treasures of classic British humour and an endless stream of sarcastic commentary.

Together, they have perfected their own kind of magic - giving each other the space to chase their passions, yet always happiest simply being in each other’s presence. No dog ever goes un-petted in their company (especially their favourite Mr Boo), and dreams for the future definitely include welcoming a fur baby of their own.

After nine years together, Mark surprised Agata with a proposal under the stars in Porto, by the glow of the city’s famous bridge.

With that, their next great adventure began - and the best is still to come, starting with a mini honeymoon in Cornwall, their shared magical place by the sea.
